Thanks so much, Patrick, for sharing your color palettes for projects like the Open DMG Display. Your palettes really elevated the project. Looking forward to seeing what you create next!

The final update for all my custom #GameBoy palettes is now live. To Libretro, FPGAming, and the retro gaming community who's supported me ever since I began doing this in 2019... thank you all very much. I'm a bit sad myself that it's over. Happy gaming! thewolfbunny64.itch.io/game-boy-cus...

Currently revisiting an eleven-year-old design. The #mouthoperatedmouse still gets some attention on Thingiverse, so I'm giving it an update. I'm finishing the documentation now, and there should be a blog post about the project within the next couple of weeks.

A box is mounted on a rod in front of a notebook. On the box is a joystick-like cone-shaped piece with a hole. A hose connects the cone to the side of the box. The cone can likely be moved. The box is positioned so that a person could operate it with their mouth.

Happy 25th birthday, Game Boy Advance! To celebrate, I am happy to announce the Game Boy Enhance is FINALLY here! The Game Boy Enhance (AGBM) is a circuit-level recreation of the Game Boy Advance. It uses almost all-new components, but still uses the original CPU - it's not emulation!

New post on my blog: I built a joystick using a 2-layer PCB and some strain gauges. The #StrainStick works very similarly to a TrackPoint. There's also a small demo software that lets you use it as a mouse by connecting it to a CH32V203 dev board. #OSHW www.embedded-ideas.de/posts/260305...

The Strainstick - Building a joystick from strain gauges

The Strainstick is a joystick which works by measuring pressure, not movement. It can be built from a single 2-layer PCB and a couple of cost effective parts.

Turning a low-cost CH32V305 MCU into a Game Boy Advance (and Color) USB capture device, with no extra circuitry required. Captures full-res at ~60 Hz and streams it over UVC. A fun look at combining basic peripherals to extend the capabilities of a simple MCU. www.embedded-ideas.de/posts/251030...

xGB to USB - USB video capturing for Gameboy Advance and Gameboy Color

A proof-of-concept showing how a low-cost CH32V305 MCU can capture full-resolution Game Boy Advance video and stream it over USB as a UVC device
