ᅠStrangely enough he still gets flustered when they do that. Ever so slightly, even when he’s returned the gesture several times over. It’s welcomed though, and it makes him that much more worried. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion upon seeing her seem so hesitant on speaking.

Nothing to hide when he can feel it. ‘Also, this feels different from Scales… Seeing two?‘ They arch an eyebrow. ‘A bit interesting.’

ᅠHe holds the bag in front of their face with a smile. It’s just a keychain to go on their phone that they were looking at earlier. Seems like they hadn’t even heard him come in. Placing it in their lap he moves to sit beside them, crossing his legs as he does. He can feel it, something aching.

His face flickers with an unreadable emotion at that revelation. It catches him off guard, clearly, it was so casually said that his mind had no choice but to reel from it. Furthermore, that was a name that he hadn’t heard in weeks now. “Are you okay? Was Kurai with her?”

— He doesn’t need to pay, but she has a feeling that she’d have a hard time convincing him of anything otherwise. It still makes her feel a bit guilty when she confesses causally: ❝ Ah, right. I ran into Thalia. ❞ . ❝ Actually, she ran into me. ❞

Opening mouth. Closes it. Staring up into the sky as the bird flies out of sight. Huh. “What was...? Wh... Where did that come from?”

That was such a specific way of describing death by poison that it was nearly comical. He seems pleased by their approval nonetheless. “I just wanted to make them for everyone. I don’t think there needs to be a special occasion for that, right?”

Munch , munch , munch … “ If it was poisoned , I would have been spilling my internal organs out by now . ” They take another cookie , seemingly content despite their cold expression . “ You did well , but there must have been an occasion for this . ”

What does geno therapy consist of?

Ellis seems more happy to meet another baker than anything, maybe just slightly more than them liking it. Eying the box he chuckles once. “Not at all. But thank you.” Before he even takes one though, he offers his hand instead. “My name is Ellis. It’s nice to meet you.”

-- presenting a box of cookies on hand. “here, i’ve got quite a few flavors in this one. you got any allergies, though?”

He almost wants to laugh at that expression, finding himself grinning with a nod. “Oh, that type…” Cupping their face he places a kiss onto their forehead, murmuring against their skin. “Luckily, I’ve got plenty of those for you.”

𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐀𝐑𝐈 • 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻@ofscarlethope.bsky.social · 2y ago

Immediate pouting. They don't think they have ever pouted over getting candy before. “The other one. I can give you a demonstration.” They give him a peck on the cheek. “You should try.”

Hand them the plate slowly while smiling. “So you’re also a killer… Are there any issues you’d like to talk about?”

. . . ➤ * 𝐅𝐋𝐈𝐑𝐓 “I would like a kiss, actually, do you have one of those?”

💭 ( D- Did they just take three? * 💧 ) “I can promise there’s not, cross my heart!” Interesting thing for them to suggest, though not entirely bizarre. Something, something, stranger danger after all. He chuckles softly, “Noted. Tell me what you think of it.”

“Of course! Feel free!” He moves the plate towards them, “I, erm… Made too many anyway.”

Right the ’’game’’ ... I guess I’m just a little used to sore losers. [ Not that anyone likes to lose—including himself. ] Barely, huh? That makes it exciting. Just for the sake of it, I want to ask: Why did you do it? The Underground, I mean.

“Wow, that is a little concerning!” … “Is that a no to the cookie or—?”

He lets out a grunt of surprise at being hugged so suddenly but he returns it in full with a laugh, “I’m alright, I have I promise.” Outside of some blinks of an issue, he things have been fairly well. “What about you? You and G?”

⠀ Perking up with a smile the monster takes a step and hugs him tight into her. No matter how old these kids get they are just so adorable to her. “You’re always so sweet! Have you been taking care of yourself?” ⠀

“... I cannot tell you how much that breaks my heart to hear that.” He immediately offers the plate to them, “I hope you like it then! From one recipe maker to another.”

“i’m gonna be honest, i’ve never heard of that term before. but a cookie’s a cookie, and if it’s good, i would like to exchange recipes.”

Asking a trait of kindness to come up with a challenge that has violence involved… That’s funny. [ He is silent for a moment, before nodding once. ] I’ll see what I can figure out then! After all, so long as you’re okay with losing, then it should be fine, right?

“Yeah! Would you like to try one? If you like snickerdoodles, at least.”

𝙡𝙪𝙠𝙨𝙤 -`♡´-@xcurioussoul.bsky.social · 2y ago

“Friends get two! Ah, well. Everyone gets two if they ask but... You never have to ask, Tif.”

⠀ “Hm… Do friends get cookies too? Because a certain friend would like one.” ⠀

… Alright. That’s admittedly a bit wilder than I expected. And while I feel like you’re going to be someone incredibly difficult, I’ve met worse. [ Folding his arms over his chest his smile remains—half out of spite. ] So possibly, yes, I do! Maybe I consider it a bit of a challenge.

“If you have just recently shown up or we just haven’t met, hello!” … “W- Would you like a cookie…?” * ( 💧 )
