Access to sports are about social belonging much more than they are about achievement. The focus in these discussions is often limited to top competitor level, to make an argument for exclusion, but overlook you lose grassroots access in the process. So yes, it is important to defend having access.

Trans people it would be super great if you didn't respond to other trans people wearing "trans people belong in sport" shirts by being weirdly anti sport. Belonging is complicated, most of us have been actively evicted from access to sports at various times and your bitterness isn't cute.
