I'm a Jays fan who's still heartbroken and haven't yet paid much attention this year because of it, but this is basically the first time Toronto sport fans (of any sport) have experienced any kind of "deadline fire sale", and it shows.

I will say one thing about Skubal, given what a meat grinder the Dodgers put their pitchers’ arms through it’ll be, uh, interesting to see if there are any long term effects from his miraculous faster than a speeding bullet recovery from elbow surgery this season.

I would rather be dead than experiencing this particular trade deadline six days before my period

It must be an amazing time to be a Toronto sports hater. A miraculous run to the World Series ends in a historically heartbreaking fashion, and nine months later they’re so unforgivably bad that everyone is gone.

I skipped our plans to see the Odyssey in IMAX because I’m fighting off a migraine but I’m sure staying home and crying over Kevin Gausman will be good for it

Personally I think that if your thread has north of 75 posts, you might want to consider that this is not the medium

Next time the Jays make a deal with the devil I would like them to specify that we need to actually win something before the devil comes to collect
