Fantasian neo dimension tries very hard to be FF7, but it’s really nowhere near as good. However, the gameplay is kinda fun, and at times I felt similar vibes to playing a PS1/2 FF for the first time
As a whole package I love 7 Rebirth and the Remake trilogy an unhealthy amount. However, I think Metaphor is the best GOTY nominee for standing on its own merit and the powerful messaging it conveys
Rivals 2 got snubbed but I probably would’ve voted for Tekken anyway
