Household bills are unmanageable for many of us in the UK and 1 in 4 households struggle to reliably afford their energy bills. Our call for a targeted bill support programme better helps households to afford their energy bills. Without it, they face impossible decisions between heating & eating
The living standards crisis will worsen without urgent action. Targeted bill support is needed. For energy alone, it could save 5.6 million households an average of £360 a year. The government and suppliers must act now to stop people spiralling into debt.
