it’s kinda surreal how we still use the internet today in almost the same way we did 10+ years ago. - browser window - text and images laid out in sections of a webpage - back buttons, search bars. the biggest experiential upgrade is that there are no more loading screens.

Bitcoin is pumping. We're getting Intelligent Personal Computers. There's a raging war in virtual space to defend Super Earth. We’re in the Roaring 20s of the 21st century.
I'm plotting on your rise bro. I'm literally up in the lab scheming on beautiful abundance for you I'm cooking up ways for a rising tide to lift all of our boats. I'm praying for your gains. I'm lighting a candle to your inevitable splendor, dude.
Disappointing to see this news. The domain system was already a great, equitable solution for verification. Blue checkmarks for “notability” only serve social stratification and seem like a feature mostly requested by self-important people desperate for status.
Wasn’t this what Bluesky’s verifiable domain/username system, along with ATProto’s DID provisions, was supposed to solve in the first place? Not sure what I’m missing, but I can’t help feeling like the switch to the “blue checkmark” is a failure, and a bit of a cop-out, on Bluesky’s part.
Bluesky's blue check is *finally* here! The new verification process launches today, WIRED has learned. Here's what that means:

NYC Deli Lore: There is no spoon behind that counter that is appropriate or helpful for eating the ice cream you get there.
A reminder that the AT Protocol is currently the best shot we have at saving the social internet, and Bluesky is the first of many credible attempts at realising this.

jevons paradox is just a well-educated black man who grew up as a high achiever, went to harvard, but had to live with the fact that his parents named him jevon.

not to brag but my playlist of liked songs on spotify is slutty af—it totally understood the assignment and left no crumbs.
It cost the USA (and its assisting allies) around $2–3 Billion to build the Manhattan Project and use its products. In a sense, that $2–3 Billion was considered a sufficient startup cost for America to achieve their version of world peace.
update: it's now at $10M, and growing! it's a christmas miracle!

The North Star Law of Onchain Systems An onchain system that fails to establish and maintain a credibly agreed-upon North Star will inevitably drift toward ossification or oblivion.

how does blueskee not have ai agents running around here?
Achieving interstellar travel is a catalyst for innovation in longevity research.
For startups building AI agent frameworks, such as Virtuals and Salesforce’s Agentforce, and SDKs, like ai16z’s Eliza, success lies in the proliferation of their agent runtime designs across the majority of businesses, and infrastructure expected to adopt AI agents over the next 5–10 years.
