Very excited to share that my dissertation project is now published! In this pilot study, we demonstrated prelim results that suggest 12 weeks of symptom guided aerobic exercise (compared to active balance) can improve sleep and executive function in mild TBI. journals.lww.com/headtraumare...

In our new work using IGNITE baseline data, we found that fixel-based analyses were more sensitive than tensor-based analyses in older adults. Fixels provide deeper insight into the strucital integrity of white matter with multiple fiber crossings pathways onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
Understanding Cognitive Aging Through White Matter: A Fixel‐Based Analysis
We assessed the sensitivity and utility of a fixel-based white matter analysis to detect age-related white matter degeneration. Results revealed that fixel-based analyses were more sensitive than ten...

The choroid plexus (ChP), a small subcortical structure, is a neuroprotective barrier. Preclinical TBI models show increased inflammatory markers in the ChP. Our recent work shows ChP swelling in CT+ TBI patients, emphasizing the different pathologies of TBI. www.liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/...
Two of my recent publications highlight the relationship between lifestyle behaviors (sleep onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/... & physical activity onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...) and brain in TBI. These suggest the importance of modifiable behaviors in TBI to improve recovery. 🧠🏃♀️💤
Such an honor to talk about my work on cognitive aging and white matter integrity at #SPR2024 in the Faces of the Future Symposium! Excited to have more discussions at my poster tomorrow evening. @therealspr.bsky.social
My lab was invited to present our ongoing studies at the annual Brain Injury Association Conference today. Thank you BIA-MA for putting on a wonderful conference full of inspiring talks! 🧠⚡️
My lab had such a great opportunity to make several trips to the Douglas House to engage with the Supportive Living Inc. community and continue to study TBI using novel, digital, and accessible tasks. Thank you to SLI for making this happen! www.supportivelivinginc.org/wp-content/u...
