I understand that semantic drift is a thing and words can change meaning overtime but I refuse to accept "meta" as a word for "optimal strategy" in single player games. None of the decisions you make in a single player game exist on a context outside the game!!! They are not meta!!!

Day 1 champions thoughts: 1. Sun is busted and not enough sun teams are teching for the mirror 2. Rain is pretty cool too and pelli/basc is a strong combo that slots in easily 3. This is close to what VGC 2014 would have looked like if Kang wasnt busted
Okay first champions hot take before I try to sleep and not think of team building: its probably good to start with a lower number of items and pokemon. It brings the number of new things that a new player has to learn about down a lot. Looking forward to updates tho this is a v low power level meta

Truly the only bad part about finally reading the Locked Tomb series (and really enjoying it!) is learning that in a series packed with dynamic and interesting lesbians, im most similar to the one relevant man 😔 Palamedes heads rise up ✊️
