Jeremy Levin was “deeply puzzled” by the reports that AstraZeneca and Bristol Myers were considering a megadeal. Levin, chairman of Ovid Therapeutics and former executive at BMS, told Post-Hoc Live Tuesday that  there's no real rationale for big companies to get bigger:

"If you don't like setbacks and you don't like failure, don't get into the pharma industry," Novo Nordisk CEO Mike Doustdar said, as the company eyes bolt-on deals following a partial Phase 3 miss for CagriSema.

In its second-quarter results, Novo disclosed a partial miss in a Phase 3 diabetes trial of CagriSema. And it ended work on an asset that it got when it bought Inversago Pharma.
