🔔 Yesterday, the Government published its framework for the Contracts for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round 8 (AR8). ❓ But what exactly is a CfD, and what do the latest changes mean for the energy sector?

The start of the UK’s journey towards becoming a world leader in offshore wind began with Allocation Round 1 (AR1) in 2014/15 and continues today. Since then, offshore wind capacity has grown from 4.5GW in 2014 to 16GW by the end of 2025 – the equivalent of powering around 15 million households.
