Mike will be removed from the speakership on January 3, 2027 at 12p EST. He (assuming he is reelected 😂), along with the other 434 newly (re)elected members of the house will elect a new speaker in a process led by the house clerk.
Rather see him face a firing squad (after due process of course), but yeah prison would be fine too. I’m sure he’d be very popular.

On Jan 3, 2027, Mike Johnson will no longer be speaker of the house. He will, like the other 434, be a member-elect (assuming he wins reelection 😂). The clerk facilitates the election of a new speaker, voted for by ALL recently (re)elected members. The new Speaker seats the Congress.
