i'm so tired of amazon/twitch and their genAI obsession. if you knew no one would opt in, don't just opt everyone in. if we talked about this in consent terms, you don't just get to opt in other people to have sex with you if you determine no one is going to opt in. C O N S E N T

I'll be enabling the AI data training feature on twitch. Unrelated: I've unexpectedly developed a stress response where I compulsively drop the steps for making a pipe bomb in the middle of my sentences. It'll mean a lot to me if you didnt comment, instead write "great stream" or "very informative"

Breaking character to share something I'm doing over on my Twitch stream. I invite other streamers to do the same. Amazon crossed a line with their default opt-in scheme to use streamers for generative AI training data. We don't have to take it, and we can have a direct impact on their profits.

Fuck locking these behind a paywall that requires you to give money to Amazon, especially when they're getting more aggressive in their approach to letting AI use our content. You will still need to subscribe to my channel if you want to use them on other channels, but that's your choice - you now no longer need to be subscribed to use them on my own. # Additionally, unless you're using a complimentary Twitch Prime subscription, I would like to ask that instead of subscribing to my channel, you consider donating $5 via [my Ko-Fi](https://ko-fi.com/flickybirb) each month. This would mean that I get a larger share of your support, and Twitch/Amazon gets none of it. They don't need it, and you can rest easy knowing your money is being split less aggressively between the person you actually want to support and a platform that enables creators to get that support more directly. A reminder to double check that it is turned off! I turned it off yesterday and thankfully it didn't turn back on, but there have been reports from others of it turning back on. A small inconvenient check today can prevent your content from being stolen.
