8 June - our first small PARISH workshop in historic Košice! Together with Radka Palenčarová and Stanisław Witecki, we compared #earlymodern parish politics in Eger and Kraków, discussed key concepts and hypotheses, and explored one of East Central Europe’s most fascinating urban landscapes. #ERCCoG

St Elizabeth’s Cathedral in Košice, the medieval parish church of the town. During the seventeenth century it became one of the focal points of confessional struggles between the local Lutheran and Catholic communities.

The former Jesuit church in Košice, completed around 1660. It became an important centre of Catholic renewal during the late phase of confessionalisation in Upper Hungary.
