Today we are putting the spotlight on TIMSS and results from 2023. The IEA TIMSS is a international assessment every 4 years measuring the math and science achievement of pupils in 4th Class and 2nd Year around the world. The ERC manages TIMSS on behalf of the Department of Education and Youth.

Today we are putting a spotlight on PIRLS and the latest results for Ireland. The PIRLS assessment that measures reading achievement among primary school pupils, usually those in Fourth Class (around age 9–10). More information on the results of PIRLS 2021 can be found at www.erc.ie
