"As a youngling, I watched everything I knew and loved burn. I escaped and came of age in the cold shadow of the empire. I watched the holonet glorification of the Emperor as well as figures like Tarkin, Thrawn, Piett, and Vader. Vader... In a corridor within the temple that night. I very briefly witnessed the one known as Anakin Skywalker butcher his brothers and sisters without mercy. I thought I had imagined it was him. But as a young man, the Force revealed the truth in deep meditation. Vader and Skywalker were one and the same.
I wondered what could drive such a man to darkness. And then, an epiphany! The Dark Side is the only true path to power and ultimately survival. Thus, I embraced the ways of the Sith in secret, learning their philosophy and doctrine covertly. Years passed, and the empire fell. And in all that time, I had resided on the ancient throne world of Dromund Kaas. A nexus of dark power, where the empire had a limited presence. By the time I emerged from those ruins. I was reborn. Marduk Xel was dead. Darth Armilus stood in his place."

As a former Marine Admiral, Dajjal served the World Government with distinction even among his peers. His ruthless ambition to rid the world of the scourge of all pirates was ubiquitous among the ranks. His star ever rising among the people, the WG decided to reward their most celebrated admiral by placing him in command of their newest, largest, and most sophisticated vessel yet designed and built; the Tyrannic. Part floating palace, part sailing weapon's platform. The ship's maiden patrol in the Grand Line was brought to a tragic and abrupt end when it was torpedoed and sunk with all hands and some of the most prominent members of high society. Admiral Dajjal was adamant about going down with his beloved ship. But later found himself waking in a hospital, with grievous wounds. For months, he recovered and slowly uncovered the truth. The WG sabotaged him and his ship, tricking him into those exact coordinates where Trafalgar Law and his Heart Pirates lay in wait. Lured with the promise of "a target too symbolic and profitable to pass up."
