IAD (Dulles Airport) is my local airport, is now delightfully accessible by public transportation, and has a lot to recommend it. Hearing Trump talk shit about it, and lie about it, is particularly galling. If you can’t appreciate the kitsch of the mobile cocktails lounges, that’s on you.

To weigh in on The Odyssey after seeing it last night: 1. I wish some subtext had remained subtext 2. It didn't feel like a ~3 hour movie to me 3. Good decision taking a pass on the sirens' song due to "Didn't Leave Nothin' But the Baby" setting the bar just too damn high. 4. Really fantastic cast.

The Trump administration found $129 million to spend. Not for lowering electric bills. Not for disaster relief. To pay a utility company NOT to build wind power. The stupidity, wastefulness, and malice of Trump’s energy policy is beyond description.

This is great and all, but even better would be removing his ability to launch nuclear weapons against cities he doesn’t like.

Just 10 people have already poured $617 MILLION into this year’s midterm elections. In the entire 2008 presidential cycle, the last election before Citizens United, total billionaire spending was $16 million. This is not sustainable. We need to get Big Money out of our democracy.

Showing people that the government can work for them is Job #1 for all Democrats. The GOP is too busy showing folks the government is there to hurt or impede them. This is the way.

Handful of detainments here by the reflecting pool. They are being done a variety of officers, including Monroe County Sheriff, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma State Police, US Marshals, a county in Texas I can’t make out, and a county in New York I can’t make out.
