also i hate the term "AI". somehow it's applied to like 7 distinct technologies, some of which can be useful, and some of which have basically no positive impact on anyone
the last time i used AI at work, i was new to the company and i got a copilot popup in Microsoft 365 admin suggesting i ask something like "summarize the configuration of this admin system", i clicked it, and it replied like "okay! i can totally do that! what system are you talking about?"

Concerns over fake phenomena cannot be held in good faith. There's no such thing as "good faith" concern over razorblades in Halloween apples or vaccines causing autism. If you still have 'concerns' about these issues you are uninformed, a bigot or being manipulated. No other option.
It's one thing to know AI usage can atrophy cognitive abilities, it's another to see it demonstrated in real time by someone who just won't stop replying with the same nonsense over and over and realizing oh, this guy has been trying to prompt engineer other people.
