Haha, I was really relieved when he gave up on the potential maximum. Would've been nice, but he can still make one in the next round. 😁 What a great victory that was today from Yuelong after a very disappointing last week! Very happy for him. 😊 #snooker

It's not a surprise that Heyball is very attractive for women who (used to) play snooker. On the WPA Heyball tour the men's and women's events are held together at the same venue (with little to no audience though) and the prize money is the same for men and women.

No joy for me at the heyball today as both Wendy Jans and Waratthanun Sukritthanes have lost their semifinal earlier today. The final between Shi Tianqi and Narantuya Bayarsaikhan is streamed on wpalive.tv and it's free. You may know Narantuya from the snooker scene.

I've been consistently on the record saying reasonable requirements like HRT for 1-2 years for competitive play is fine. But the average cis person online cannot process that trans women who have medically transitioned are different biologically than cis men.

This post got a lot of traction on Twitter, and it's driving me nuts because this IS what "trans activists" have been saying for years and years. It's impossible to have a discussion on this topic when people refuse to acknowledge what one side is actually arguing.

I just need one trans activist to come out and be transparent and say:
- Nobody is saying that if Wemby decided to identify as female tomorrow he should be allowed to play in the W
- Trans children should be allowed to participate in youth sports and other activities in some manner but there needs to be some nuance around whether it is right for male-to-female trans kids to be playing in female-only sports leagues, many times that will be inappropriate.
- We understand what Sophie is saying but it is damaging to the trans community and XXXXX is why.
Just retweeting and calling her a bigot and homophobe for an opinion that 90% of America holds to some extent is doing nothing productive.

Iulian and Michael both lost today. 😞 So I guess I'll stick to Heyball for now. However, I'm quite happy for Michael Larkov who pushed the in-form Liam Highfield to a decider today just two days after being whitewashed. Some positives to take from this match despite the loss. #snooker

The Heyball results have been quite pleasant today with Wendy Jans and Waratthanun Sukritthanes both winning two matches to reach the semifinal. Mary Talbot lost earlier this morning though. Now let's see whether snooker can follow suit: Go Iulian, go Michael!

I've suffered from migraine attacks since my childhood, so I'm no stranger to (severe) headaches. But yesterday's pain was next level. I just managed not to throw up at work. Feeling absolutely rejuvenated today with just an ordinary migraine at the moment. 😂

So far this season there have been 3 maximums in 2,872 frames on the Main Tour. That's one max per 957 frames. At this pace there will be appr 17 maximums this season. The record is 24 in 2025/2026. Here is an overview of frames per maximums for the last few seasons. #snooker #WeLoveSnooker

😮 Another 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 from Chang Bingyu! The Chinese ace made breaks of 109, 134, 83, 147 & 135 in a rapid 5-0 win over Chatchapong Nasa at the Shenzhen Open qualifiers. The maximum is Chang's third in pro competition, and already the third 147 of the snooker season.
