One hundred years after Erwin Schrödinger introduced his famous equation, it continues to shape the technologies we use every day. In this video, Elena Negro explains how lasers rely on quantum mechanics and why Schrödinger's equation remains central to modern physics.

Our thematic programme New Paradigms for Harnessing Quantum Field Theory at Colliders has just started at ESI. Over the next five weeks, researchers will explore new approaches to quantum field theory, with a focus on QCD, collider physics, and precision predictions for particle experiments.
