The Nepal tragedy has made me think of the beginning of this book. It follows the journey of Frank, the sole survivor after a deadly heatwave in India suffering from PTSD and survivors’ guilt and drives his arc. You have to do everything you can to stop the climate crisis, it’s now or never.

Check out my review of Kim Stanley Robinson's Ministry for the Future. If you are serious about the climate crisis this is most definitely worth the read. Full review here: estipienaar.com/eco-esti/revie…

From the separation of Rangi and Papa to Hotu Matu'a's voyage to Rapa Nui, these stories carry themes of courage, family, creation, and belonging. I am proud to bring them together in this collection: Pacific Tales: Polynesia. Out today!

One thing I love about Polynesian stories is how the ocean connects everything - people, islands, ancestors, gods, and journeys. That spirit is at the heart of Pacific Tales: Polynesia. Out August 31st!

Writing Pacific Tales: Polynesia has been a journey across ocean, memory, and myth - from Māui and Pele to Sina, Tagaloa, Sinalau, Hiro, and Hotu Matu'a. I can't wait to share it. Out 31 August!

I am excited to share that my next folklore collection, Pacific Tales: Polynesia, is launching on the 31st of August! This book gathers 10 traditional stories from across the Polynesian Triangle in clear, accessible English.
