Does anyone know where the Ge'ez manuscripts collected by Henry Salt ended up? OR 586 at the @britishlibrary.bsky.social has a passing resemblance to the book of hymns that he collected, as depicted in "Voyage to Abyssinia" (1814), but also significant differences in the cover.

Tinkering with trichromacy. I've been on a multi-year pursuit in search of trichromatic #Ethiopic marks, but have come up empty so far. So I decided to make my own, imagining what trichromatic marks, if found, might appear like.

By 2021, the @britishlibrary.bsky.social had digitized 300 Ethiopian Manuscripts. Since the October 2023 cyberattack, 36 have been restored. This spreadsheet (docs.google.com/spreadsheets...) lists the manuscripts and maps the old URL to the new. Sources used are in the spreadsheet (2nd tab).
