Nepali-Australian writer of romcoms, fantasy, and occasionally sci-fi. Currently drowning in edits and black coffee.

Been hunting for book comp titles for this as I begin the rewriting process and… I might have just found one comp. IF LOOKS COULD KILL by Julie Berry, however, mine isn’t historical but dystopian. But still, the cat-and-mouse vibe is a good fit for my structure! Anyone know other similar books?

What if Medusa returned to find the world is still the same as it had once been. For one, freedom means everything. For another, her child. Yet, neither is ready for the truth. A daughter. A mother. And a woman caught in between. One unbelievable story. #Questpit #A #Dystopian #WIP

Holidays, writer’s version: Writers, what do you pack—your must haves—when going on a holiday? Me: I usually have take a book to read or notebook to write in, even if I know I may not have the time. 🤣

I’m published yet, but I thought I better introduce myself again. I’m a Nepali from Australia. I write contemporary romcoms, sci-fi, fantasy/retellings. Atm querying my Nepali romcom, LOVE ON A DEADLINE, but thinking indie if things done work out. I plan to share my journey with you soon. 👋👋

Cover for the story should I go indie! The characters are standing in the foyer, and Shashi (MC) is handing his new flatmate, Junkiri (an old crush) a key. Vibes of the story: he’s sworn of love, on paper or in life, until she walks into his house and his life—the muse he didn’t know he needed. So naturally, he didn’t stand a chance…

Any Nepali readers out there? I know we’re a small South Asian community but would you read this if you had the chance? If querying doesn’t work out, I’m considering indie, and want to see if readers out there who would give this romcom a chance? (You don’t have to be Nepali either.)

Mock poster for the story, with character art and tropes, as well as a teaser line. The pitch for the story: he’s a romance writer done with real life romance or on the page, until she walks in. His old crush—wanting to torment her ex by flaunting a new guy. Doesn’t have to be a real boyfriend. So naturally, he volunteers, as a good little roommate would. What could possibly go wrong? Comparison titles that have similar tropes or plot devices or invoke the atmosphere of yearning.

He’s jaded and in a bind, with a looming work deadline. She’s jilted and in need of a wingman, to torture ex. He volunteers as tribute, knowing where it may lead. He’s written those stories before, of falling in love. After all: once a crush, always a crush. Right? #Questpit #Q #A #R
