After 11 years in NYC I feel like nothing would ever really force me out although I do find myself thinking sometimes that I’ll leave before I pay market rate rent. I can’t let the landlords win. They’ll never take my money…. I’m fighting this battle to the last breath lmao

Come to RC on August 25 for @geoffreylitt.com on Dynamic Documents as Personal Software! We usually think of "documents" and "applications" as different concepts. But what if we can combine both to empower more people to craft their own personal, malleable software? RSVP: luma.com/rc-dynamic

I bought this usb-c phone attachment and mounted it to the wall for a faux-landline. I’m hoping it will encourage nice long chats in my couch nook. Just looking at it reminds me to call my loved ones…

I took this weekend class, "Research as a Leisure Activity" run by Laurel Schwulst and Celine Nguyen, with 17 other really amazing and different people. One of the biggest things I took away from this was the realization that I already have a love of learning and collection and do it constantly,

I've gotten (even more) earnest lately being surrounded by very friendly people but now when I go out into basically any other social space and people make really tiny little snippy comments I find myself being a little oversensitive. It's like I've gone soft... I wonder what to do about that

I'm trying to figure out how to write a research question. I've never written one before. I have gotten better at identifying and pursuing interest, but it's been in a fairly wordless magnetic way? Nothing sharpened or surfaced yet? So hmm...

I have not really developed much of an art style (in my mind at least) and this bothers me slightly, the same way I haven't necessarily focused on a medium, or a topic, and I guess that's just where I am right now! I just need to spend lots more time

I've learned an absurd amount about programming while working at RC just through osmosis, but I feel like I could take the osmosis up a notch by adding just a tiny bit of effort... I think I'll employ Radically Googling for a while (looking up every word I don't know) and seeing what happens

15 years + 3,000 alums later, what started as a 6-person experiment is now a community of curious, kind programmers: engineers, artists, scientists, hobbyists, all united by a love of programming. If 6 or 12 weeks to focus on what truly interests you sounds appealing, apply! www.recurse.com/apply

I love my dentist so much lol she’s so nice to me and says “beautiful” when looking at my teeth (which I would not strictly define as beautiful) and tells me lots of stories about Poland
