Sure, there are bad things, but right now I have three 11-week old kittens crawling all over me and purring so sometimes there’s really good things too.

When I was a clinic defender, we had a rule that you could not talk to the antis. They would deliberately try to suck us into arguments so we wouldn’t see patients walking up. Random passers-by who told antis off made our day, and often had the effect of distracting *them* from harassing patients
This video of a woman telling an anti-abortion asshole to, "Shut the fuck up" is exactly what I needed to see on a Monday morning
Ohio. The glacier that made the Great Lakes should have done us all a solid and scooped Ohio out too, then maybe Michigan college football would have a worthy football rival instead of *spits* OSU.
Name the U.S. state you loathe the most, I don't care what the reason is unless it's like weird or bigoted
Oh man, putting England and Norway, our palest countries, in Miami in July feels like a cruel prank
I wouldn’t say I’m rooting *for* Mexico as much as I’m rooting against England.
I want Isaac Chotiner to interview pinhead.
ME: then he showed up—lotta stuff in his head—and he just sorta gave me a ham sandwich CHOTINER: because you solved it ME: the lament configuration, yeah CHOTINER: so the ham was pleasure… ME: …it came on a pretty crusty baguette… CHOTINER: …and that was your pain ME: you’re making it trivial
I know I’m almost 40 because the Home Depot lawn and garden section is becoming my happy place.
This ignores the ex-couples who are still on a shared phone plan because they’re grandfathered into an unlimited data/tethering plan that isn’t offered anymore. … I say as I attempt to not feel called out by this post.
divorced millennials will always be tied to their ex bc they can’t afford to break the shared phone plan and streaming subscriptions
Someone should invent a thing that lets me drink all the wine I want without getting drunk. And no, non-alcoholic wines don’t count, I’ve tried them and they’re generally disappointing.
Believe me when I say you really want to watch Jake’s stream. It’s a little bit of beautiful respite from the chaos of the world, and also, BIRB!
This is the type of thing you can expect on birdstream. Turns out there’s a nesting pair of black-capped chickadees in one of our tree stumps. Mom and dad both making steady trips in and out carrying food so I’m guessing they’re hatched. That means fledging chickadees soon 👀 #birds
What an incredibly specific and also bizarre piece of information.
I’m not going to look because I value my sanity, but I’d be willing to bet there’s a lot of people calling him Mayor Mao right now, and frankly, I think where landlords are concerned he should lean into that characterization.
zohran mamdani announced a plan to seize properties from bad landlords and private equity if tenents suffer from neglect and i genuinely do not think i’ve seen rightwing circles this mad in reaction to anything i’ve ever seen before lol
If I were writing a new Bill of Rights, one of those rights would absolutely be a bathtub large enough to fit three people in it with space left over. (This post brought to you by the soaking tub in my hotel bathroom, which is so big it might as well be a small pool).
I had to drive down to California to take care of some stuff, and let me tell you, adaptive cruise control is fucking magic. I don’t need ‘full self driving,’ I just need a car that will follow the car in front of me at a consistent distance. It barely feels like driving.
If you know anyone who works in VM at any of their partner companies, they almost certainly need a hug, lots of coffee, or a giant basket filled with baby animals of their choice to snuggle with. Just saying.
"After one month, most partners have each found hundreds of critical- or high-severity vulnerabilities in their software. Collectively, they’ve found more than tens thousand. Several have told us that their rate of bug-finding has increased by more than a factor of ten."
I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that Playboy knows how to read the room.
Hello Bluesky. It's Playboy. For our first, and timely post, we share our latest investigation into OpenAI's disastrous plans to become x-rated. "Altman’s idea of an “erotica” feature seemed riddled in uncertainty." Read our piece "Why ChatGPT Can't Be Sexy" here: www.playboy.com/read/politic...
Watching Eurovision and @joekim.bsky.social just murdered us all by pointing out that Eurovision is the Olympics for theater kids.
despite their best efforts we’re still here and we’ll still be here when they’re gone
We went to a country store today and bought some elderberry wine, which is absolutely not a thing I should have access to on a regular basis.
You should go see the hummingbirds, they’re extremely cool.
Alright, swapped cameras since Twitch can't even render the feed from the Insta360. Got an action cam up there, actually getting some hummingbirds landing near it. Only need 7 more subscribers over on YouTube to be able to go live with the 360 view
The entire history of Russia is like a person tripping and falling down the stairs forever
Also apparently Rivers never wears pants. How else would he end up in his superman skivvies or naked just because someone destroyed his sweater? Seems like he could just wear more clothes and be fine, but what do I know.
I think Weezer are foolish. I would never make instructions for how to destroy my sweater public, lest they fall into the wrong hands.
