Something I started a few years back: Meme test countdowns! I like bringing them in straight away in secondary. Then when they're in year 11 and countdowns become part and parcel of the process, they seem less anxious. It's for me really so I don't forget, but this sounds better 😉
Previously in Nate's teaching life, year 7 and 8 took on another competition. Students from over 10 different countries representing. Including the world's highest altitude school 🗻
The questions on this were ridiculously well thought out. Took a team of year 11 and 12 mathematicians to represent. 🤙🏼
I tell my students to be wary of accounts when they have a hugely disproportionate "follower" to "following" ratio... ...Uh oh.
