wie genau soll ich bei 35°C Bürotemperatur/40°C Außentemperatur irgendwie arbeiten? (Home-Office ist auch keine Lösung. Da ist es auch nicht kühler...) - aber ja, die Vorlesung fürs Wintersemester will irgendwie vorbereitet werden.

Michal Beth Dinkler just gave a fantastic #SNTS2026 main paper on Narrative questions of New Testament texts and cautioned us to not try to confine texts into one narrative box, but rather stay open to see different forms of how biblical narratives work to allow multiple meanings to catch attention.

#SNTS2026 Day 2 starts with a main paper by Prof. John Granger Cook and we're learning more about the penalty of crucifixion. Humans do really terrible things to each other.

Seeing a concert at the Royal Albert Hall as a part of the #BBCProms today was a dream come true. That it was Olivier Latry, playing a programme with all music by J.S. Bach made it just the more amazing! London is being very good to me!

How to best bridge the time between two conferences? Well, I'm trying it with a long weekend in London. - and it's wonderful! I got 26.000 steps in today, while still finding time to just sit down and read and admire this beautiful city!

Here we are. @dyma.eurosky.social opens this year's EABS conference. With 700 participants (560 present here in Leuven, and around 140 online via zoom), it is the biggest EABS conference yet. I'm looking forward to 4 days of biblical networking and learning. #EABS2026

Ich bin und bleibe ein Fan davon, mich in einer neuen Stadt zu orientieren. Ankommen am Flughafen/ Bahnhof, Öffi System erkunden, Tickets kaufen, in anderen Zügen/Straßenbahnen fahren als die von daheim gewohnten, eine neue Stadt durchs Fenster vorbeiziehen lassen... Reisen ist toll!

"Aller Augen schauen auf Dich, Herre", von Heinrich Schütz ist auch wie Taize Gesang aus der frühen Neuzeit.

Zweites Stück im heutigen Konzert ist "Jesu, meine Freude" von J.S. Bach. Auch so ein Stück, das immer tief ins Herz trifft. "Tobe, Welt, und springe, Ich steh hier und singe In gar sichrer Ruh. Gottes Macht hält mich in acht; Erd und Abgrund muss verstummen, Ob sie noch so brummen."

Ich darf heute wiedermal Mozart Requiem im Konzert singen - und frag mich beim Erarbeiten jedes Mal ja schon, was Mozart selbst denn aus dem Lux Aeterna gemacht hätte, hätte er die Zeit dafür gehabt.

Hui, vielleicht schwimme ich heute später dann aus dem Büro nach Hause.

Immer etwas unlustig, wenn bei einem Vortrag so gar nichts weitergeht und die Deadline näher und näher rückt.

Wenn das ganze Public Viewing buht, wenn Gianni Infantino im Bild gezeigt wird. Sehr stabil!
