Tested 6th gen Gold cab for first time since update. Played Posiden until I could SDP it. Now feels closer to a white cab, but still needed to make display offset 5-6ms more positive. Song sync also feels off, feel like you need judgment adjustment too. One shot on a white cab pics for reference.

Got laid off a year ago today (yay end of financial year). My old company then proceeded to have multiple additional rounds of layoffs including outing the president in December 😬 Anyways, very fortunate for the new gig. Hectic at times, but definitely great for career growth.

You have no idea how happy it makes me that Mike Judge is giving national attention in the new King of the Hill season to my alma mater's flaming ball of sperm mascot.

Turns out a month of derusting put me at the level of (almost) SDPing 18s. Also JFC they added so many "we have ITL at home" charts to the game in the last 6 months.

After barely playing dance games for the past 7 months (variety of reasons, mainly just wasn't motivated), I'm beginning to ramp back up playing in preparation for Storm. My timing and stamina (mainly on harder songs) aren't quite there yet, but I'm slowly shaking off the rust.

Growing up I wanted to work in the game industry so badly. As an adult, MAN I'm glad I didn't go down that path. Props to anyone and everyone who did though, I can't imagine how rough it is having essentially 0 job security at all times (speaking as someone laid off 2x in a volatile industry).

So my company's film department had some sort of involvement with the Super Mario Galaxy movie (marketing or other tie in), so today they gave away some free swag? Pretty sweet.

Putting this out there now - not expecting to do any major travel until August due to new job and wanting the ~3 month intro period to pass. Know there's some great dance game events during that time, but not targeting going to any of them until CEO/Storm in August.

First day at the new job. They have a beer fridge at the office.

Top 2 finalist for position. Found out last week I didn't get it but they expressed how much they wanted me. This week someone abruptly put in their 2 weeks. They immediately reached back out. Signing my paperwork today, and circumstances probably boosted my pay. Life is f'ing weird sometimes man.

Don't want to jinx anything, but I think having a job interview go 30 minutes over with a director and getting a follow up interview request scheduled later in the week with assistant directors 5 minutes after the interview ended seems like a good sign? Fingers crossed.
