It is time To the Devil… A Daughter was censored?
Following Wim Wenders’ removing Wrong Move from circulation, is it time to revisit Hammer’s To The Devil…A Daughter and re-edit for a modern audience?
exclusivefilms.wordpress.com
Interesting news, Wim Wenders has withdrawn his film Wrong Move from ciculation because of the inclusion of nudity of then-13 year old Nastassja Kinski. Is it time Hammer's To the Devil A Daughter was re-cut for featuring a nude 14 year old Kinski? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Ed Wood's infamous Plan 9 From Outer Space is out on BD from @BFI on 7 Sep. Even better, release includes BRIDE OF THE MONSTER, which was handled by Exclusive Films on its original UK release. A must have. amzn.to/49zSXYv
New Addition to the collection - around 80 programmes from Will Hammer's theatre offerings. Haven't filed them yet - a few dupes of stuff I already have, but lots of new pieces. Exploring Hammer Films' theatre connections is my next big project.
Crucible of Horror is now sold out at the Hammer shop... Still copies available via other retailers Get yours while you can amzn.to/4uIExxM
Our brew and biscuits matinee today stars #DeanJagger #EdwardChapman #LeoMcKern #AnthonyNewley in... X THE UNKNOWN (1956) 2:45pm sci-fi fantasy from Hammer Films #TPTVsubtitles
I've been doing a bit of a deep dive into Brian Donlevy's origins. Most of you might recall him as the original Hammer Films Quatermass. But stories about his early days are muddied. Conflicting reports suggesting he was born in Ohio, or more facifully, Ireland.
Break in the Circle is next up on Hammer's 4k restorations. This thriller has never had a home video release before! hammerfilms.com/products/bre...
Latest addition to the collection - original UK quad poster for Exclusive Films' 1956 release of The Barbarians (aka Il Sacco di Roma).

I've just taken delivery of a second 16mm copy of the seldom-seen Hammer Films title Crime Reporter. This one is a previously unknown US release (which has different captions), which will sit alongside my UK Exclusive print. Thanks to those that alerted me to the listing.
Have managed to secure an Exclusive-era oddity that I wasn't aware of previously, and which will probably prompt a new line of research. Sorry for the vagueposting - will say more once it arrives.
The latest #HammerFilms 4k has arrived - Spaceways!! Delighted to be a part of this release - I contributed an essay on the connections between Howard Duff, the Lupinos and Hammer/Exclusive; and I also provided the 35mm trailer from my collection. get yours - amzn.to/4dAhLlU

Just in... Some of the rarest pieces a Hammer completist could chase... I've been after this particular piece of sheet music for years. And thankfully my dealer didn't rip me off over it either.
Some more Exclusive Films lobby cards have arrived in the post this week. All individuals rather than complete sets. Even more exciting delivery due next week...
There is good news with regards my book 'Don't Dare See It Alone'. Originally scheduled for last year, tech issues put it back at the last minute. Publication now set for 14 Feb. Pre-orders will start shifting in batches once I get stock to hand.
That new cover art for the forthcoming SPACEWAYS 4k is gorgeous. Also, I've contributed an essay to the booklet, and a trailer for the extras. Get your copy ordered!
Recent additions to my #HammerFilms collection. A mix of vintage and modern books, posters, stills, sheet music and discs relating both to Hammer and their distribution arm #ExclusiveFilms. Some of this will no doubt make it's way into my Exclusive book and other projects.
Latest poster acquisition is this original UK quad for the Exclusive Films release of western '3 Desperate Men' from 1951. Saw a copy of this online a few years ago and didn't think I'd ever find one for sale. Directed by Sam Newfield. The US release was by Lippert.
First 4k in the new machine is an old Peter Cushing favourite... But not a Hammer. Yes it's Dr Who and the Daleks time. Just what I needed now I've been given the all clear following my eye surgery.
Finally caved in and bought a 4k player. Basically just so I can properly appreciate the new Hammer remasters, but I've picked up some other titles too. Will give something a proper spin tomorrow.
Oh look! A subtle little Hammer Films cameo in The Beatles Anthology: Two. Iconic.
Today's post brought me the latest Wayne Kinsey book on Hammer, and the Kaleidoscope DVD of Wolfshead. The latter I got for completion sake, the print used is awful, full of blemishes. Nice clean 4k Hammer restoration is on the new Men in Sherwood Forest release.
Stolen Face is next up on the Hammer Films 4k restorations - a brilliant noir and bridge to the Frankenstein series hammerfilms.com/products/sto...
Stolen Face Limited Collector's Edition
