After winning the first two games of the series with their bats, Gavin Williams sparkles through 7 scoreless and Cade Smith completes the shutout with a 4 out save as #Guardians win 1-0 to complete a needed sweep over the A’s.

Becoming a bizarre situation as the late games are already getting to the half and the #Browns game hasn’t concluded yet almost 5.5 hours after kickoff.

Bucs need a TD after the weather delay from the #Browns 28 with 2 minutes left and Browns are posted as a +112 underdog. Interesting given that the defense has played fairly well.

That’s a really good win for the Bengals going into Houston and winning 20-6. After Baltimore lost at home to Saints and Steelers looked awful in New England, Cincy looks like the best team in the AFC North in the early going.

That was a very well called drive by Monken. Made sure that the ball got out quickly. #Browns have their first lead of the season with under 4 to go.

Right on cue… he connects for a 49 yarder. This has all the makings of a 1 score #Browns loss, which will neither be helpful at forcing a QB change nor cashing my bets that were predicting a non-competitive game.

The good news is that Denzel Boston looks legit. The bad news is that at this rate, this fairly competent game manager performance we’re seeing is not going to lead to a #Browns QB change.

Credit goes to #Browns defense for their strong performance, but Baker providing a reminder as to why Browns moved on from him. I’ve always contended that decision was defensible - it was selling the farm for the sex pest that never made sense.

Monken goes for it on 4th & 1 at his own 34 and with a questionably performing OL, decides to try running it up the gut, which fails miserably and gives Tampa the possible opening they need to get their offense going. I’ve been exceedingly underwhelmed by Monken as #Browns coach 1.5 games in.

A stupid challenge by Monken. If #Browns win it, it’s a difference of 3 yards. And they lost it anyway.

One and a half quarters in, #Browns defense looks considerably better, which is good to see. Browns offense remains comically inept with conservative play calls seemingly designed to keep the QB from screwing everything up.

#Guardians once again immediately cough up a 1st inning lead, but immediately came back in the bottom half of the inning and didn’t look back. It’s a good thing the offense was rolling because Bibee gave up 6 runs. Guards win 12-6 & hopefully Rocchio is OK.

This is great and should be a regular thing for all reviews during televised pro and college games. This process should be fully transparent.

Full answer from Browns o-line coach George Warhop regarding the deep drops from Deshaun Watson. Essentially puts it on his guys: "We have a target depth for the quarterback that we block for. There's not a QB that's always gonna be consistent with that ... Our deal is give him w.e. time he needs."

White Sox won tonight to even their record with #Guardians, so Chicago is 1st in the Central via the tiebreaker while Guards sit 2 up over TOR & TEX for 3rd Wild Card (but do not have tiebreaker over either). Good news is Guards control their own destiny. They almost have to sweep A’s this weekend.

Between Josh Allen being on my fantasy team, Ralph Wilson being 1 of 2 NFL owners to vote against #Browns relocation, the Lake Erie lake effect snow kinship Clevelanders have with the #BillsMafia, & the truly sad state of the Browns, I’ve decided to adopt the Bills this season as a rooting interest.

The new season of Lasso is taking its sweet time getting wherever it's going and has no idea what to do with its main character (bit of an issue), but it's given me the stiffest dose of Unhinged Tracey Ullman that I've had in quite a while. Thankful for that, at least.

Huge #Guardians win today - Petey Halpin of all people delivered a big time 3 run HR to put the Guards up for good in the 6th after they blew a 2-0 lead in the 5th. Guards win their final series against the White Sox and somehow have climbed back atop the AL Central with 9 games to play.

I feel bad for Kevin. Going from the most dysfunctional QB situation in the NFL with the #Browns to probably the 2nd most dysfunctional situation in Atlanta. We’ve seen that when he has a steady hand at QB, his offenses are potent.

Monken justified starting the sex pest in large part based on his ability to execute operational issues & those were a disaster for #Browns on Sunday. Couple that with him running into sacks, not reading the field, & not taking care of the ball, & it’s impossible to understand why he’s the starter.
