Day 4 of the #Exo4Edu #SummerSchool: ✅ The morning was reserved for presentations, in which the teachers shared the activities and resources they had been working on during the week. In the afternoon, the group had a cultural visit to Kruja and a social dinner to celebrate the week. 🇦🇱

Day 2 in the #Exo4Edu #SummerSchool was all about how we find exoplanets! 🎓 The day was centred around student-first teaching strategies, #exoplanet detection and hands-on workshops. And, in the evening, participants took part in a skygazing session! ☄️ Swipe to see some photos from yesterday! 📸

The #Exo4Edu Summer School will take place in the beautiful city of #Durrës, #Albania! ☀️ Founded over 2,700 years ago, Durrës is Albania’s main port and second-largest city. It is home to remarkable historical sites such as the Roman Amphitheatre 🏛️ and the ancient city walls. See you there! 👋

Our summer school starts in less than a month, and all the partners are already preparing! 🥳 For a week in July, the coastal city of Durrës 🇦🇱 will be the meeting place for 16 educators who want to bring exoplanets to secondary school students. Who is excited for the #Exo4Edu Summer School? 🙋‍♀️

Another week, another #Exo4EduTeacher in action! ✨ Recently, teacher Asulla Jorgji took three 11th-grade classes at Kolegji Preka in Albania, on a journey into the world of exoplanets. 🪐 Students were asked "Do you believe there is life somewhere else out there?", and 90% answered YES! #Exo4Edu

Our #Exo4EduTeachers continue to share the project and its resources everywhere they go! 🪐🪐 Recently, teacher Lindita Lohja from Albania led a training session on the Exo4Edu platform at the Physics Network meeting for lower secondary education at the “Edith Durham” School, in Shkodra.

Two teachers from the first Albanian training course carried out their own #Exo4Edu activities! 🪐 This week, we showcase the activity by teacher Ornela Kurti, where the 10th grade students presented planetary systems before a jury and created their own 3D-based video explaining planetary motion. 🎓

After the first Albanian #Exo4Edu training course, 2 teachers carried out educational activities about the project! 🪐 Today, we share one of them: During Mathematics–Physics professional network, Aida Dedja (from Elbasan) presented the Exo4Edu platform and how it can be used as a learning resource.

📡 #EXOPLANETS 101 with #Exo4Edu 🪐 In 1999, astronomers from the San Francisco State University and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics discovered the first known multi-planet system around a Sun-like star. 🌟 The star Upsilon Andromedae was found to host not one, but multiple planets!

Exciting news in the #Exoplanet world! 🪐 Using mid-infrared spectroscopy with the #JWST, a team of researchers discovered a long-lived circumplanetary disk around the young, accreting exoplanet, Delorme 1AB b. This is one of the first JWST detections of a circumplanetary disk! 🔍 #Exo4Edu
