Middle ear? Nice try, I think I'll stick with my right and left ones, thank you.
One of the most obvious (and easiest to fix) issues in the industry today keeps getting thrown in our faces, but it's one thing they'll never let change.
After laying off Battlefield 6 devs, EA boss Andrew Wilson's bonus rose $8m to $38m last year, thanks to the game's success across "all milestones" www.eurogamer.net/ea-boss-38-m...
Fuck anyone who pushes the idea that ADHD isn't a disorder that can be incredibly debilitating. I wish they could go be in my head for one hour to realize how fucking exhausting and frustrating it is moment to moment even when medicated, and all the extra possible issues that can arise e.g. insomnia
Channel 4 has announced documentary “The Great ADHD Myth?” It “seeks to determine whether ADHD is a genuine neurodevelopmental disorder, or a social construct.”
Honestly gonna buy a camelbak and wear it at my desk since my ADHD ass forgets to get up to refill my water every single day.
Just hit 50 games played* so far in 2026. Pretty good range genre wise (wish I could play horror haha) Good amount of new games, lots of old ones I returned to, and a bunch that had been in my backlog that I finally got around to. Not bad. *played, not necessarily beaten
Playing FFX in high school was the first time ever that I went "Wait, video games can have stories like this??" and it likely changed the entire trajectory of my life. It didn't make me suddenly want to be a writer, but I think it subconsciously played a major role in picking my major and career.
We're dedicating this week's #QuestionsWithCauseway to the game devs that bring us joy, tears, laughter, and moments that we'll remember forever. This week, we're asking our team (and you!), "What's your favorite gaming moment? This could be in-game or something in the community!
Finally getting back into the Yakuza series with Y6 and I don't know if any other game has grabbed me as quickly as this one outside of Y0. Super strong start.
1. The percentage of people at a studio actually making the decisions vs. those completing the tasks handed to them. 2. Most devs do (or will at some point) work on games they aren't passionate about. Game dev is a job like any other and sometimes it's just a paycheck/you can't afford to just quit.
game devs: what are the myths that a lot of players of games think are true about making games that are completely untrue? If you could snap your fingers and they suddenly all knew the truth about it what would it be?
Please enjoy this video of a bee cleaning itself on my windshield (or dancing if you watch with sound)
Nice try, but you can't trick me into bawling my eyes out again around a bunch of strangers.
Experience the romance that inspired a generation. 💖 Makoto Shinkai’s masterful fantasy Your Name. returns to theatres for its 10th anniversary starting August 14, beautifully remastered in stunning 4K. brnw.ch/21x3AFc
Oh good, it's nearing midnight and the loudest fireworks are going off even though they're illegal around here. And they'll definitely do it tomorrow and Sunday too. Hooray.
So lucky to have a wife that will indulge my silly obsessions haha
Birthday tomorrow and near death experience last week = buying myself something nice.
So not only is the industry burning on the dev side, but now I can't even own shit anymore as a consumer. Fucking amazing.
Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles blog.playstation.com/2026/07/01/p...
If you have more people on stage than in the crowd, you fucked up so hard lmao
my god
Makes zero sense that Japan decided to not use the Blue Lock team for the World Cup. What were they thinking?
There's personally nothing for me to celebrate about this country on July 4th. But my birthday is on July 3rd, so if you feel the same and still want to bbq or set off fireworks or celebrate something, you have my blessing to celebrate me (especially after my near death experience lmao).
Walking in a crosswalk yesterday when a car accelerated into me and tossed me into another lane soooo yeah. I'm okay, just sore in some spots and some mental damage, but oof there were a couple moments I legit thought I was donezo. Thankfully the cars going 40mph where I stumbled stopped in time.
Believe it or not, you need to keep devs in the industry (and ideally with some actual stability) if you want games to continue being made.
Whoever started the trend going around in videos where you show the 3 seconds of the end of the video before starting the actual video, please go fuck yourself. Not watching the setup to your video if you already showed me the part I'm meant to wait around for. Zero build up now. Fuck your video.
Phew, it's the weekend. Time to get some chores done, relax a bit, and catch up on - Oh, it's already Monday again.
Time to finally knock a big one off my backlog and play NieR: Automata
My distrust of the world all started when I tried using Strength on that truck to get Mew and nothing happened.
It's super cool how history keeps repeating, but only for the bad stuff.
5 things you will probably find in my (future) books: - Dudes crying (and comforting each other while doing so) - Fully platonic male and female relationships - A magic system and/or some sort of talking weapon/item - Humor - A forest that is more than just a forest
5 things you will probably find in my books: - A fungus - A plot hole - Vast acres of disillusionment - "Is that moving? It's not supposed to be" - Unrequited love
