This artwork is titled Strada con lampioni (Street with Lampposts), painted by the Italian artist Salvo (Salvatore Mangione) in 2001.
There's nothing wrong with pretty pictures, but I think that pictures can also make us think about deep, profound truths. Many artists make pretty pieces that are also thinking pieces, but I think that there's more artists that don't even think about anything more than making a pretty picture.
I'm putting some things together for an ART BOOK, and this is what I'm looking at. Nothing quite like a 5 year round-up to put things into perspective!
