The Mozilla leadership keeps going strong with their twice a year mind blowing decision: this time they felt going back to the nazi bar was the best move. Musk wants to destroy democracy in Europe. I don't see how any EU employee can stay at MoCo. You will not change anything from the inside, folks
With @mozilla.org VPN running on Mullvad infrastructure, can we know what they think about Mullvad's CEO being a fascist? Will they change providers? I'm a satisfied customer currently, but I will not continue if there is no change.
Nice bicycle ride today. Always something to see at the San Gregorio general store!
For people who say "you need to get an AI agent to review all code", when does that stop? Are you doing multiple review rounds (and how many)? How and why do you trust the result? Why are these review capabilities not part of the initial code generation?

📣 🚨 🪩 I'm delighted to announce "Funding The Web: a covenant for browsers, search, and people", new work from yours truly generously supported by D//F: ftw.fund. It's a complicated topic but it only impacts the whole web, so please bear with me a little! 🧵
Funding The Web: A Wise Choice
The Web is slow-motion collapsing for multiple reasons, but at the heart of it all is a little known system: the Search/Browser Levy. Let's fix it!

There's no such thing as open AI models under capitalism.
Open models by and large do not deserve to be called open (yes there are exceptions). Even so, Bluesky will never implement so-called open models in Attie. If they did, their target audience would not use the app; they would build or discover an alternative that uses a "better quality" closed AI.
