For me, the soundcloud era was the pinnacle of DiY music. I discovered some people I'm still acquainted with today. The stress of "break-even" and faux commercial success wasn't remotely a thing. It was just putting out music for enjoyment. Took me years to want to re-capture that model again.

If I were starting a new hauntology project referencing occult behaviour, I might be inclined to use imagery of people all sitting weirdly in silence in church-like environments listening to an album like it's some kind of sermon.
