I am actually so fucked, my worst fear has been realized, I have a poison ivy blister on the edge of my lips 🫠 I was hoping so badly that the vine missed my face when it fell but there’s no mistaking the blisters 🫠 really hope it’s just that one single small spot 🫠

so the bad news is I’m getting additional blisters every single hour. the GOOD news is that one of the itch relief sprays actually helps!!! so I will survive!!!

I was tackling a massive growth of poison ivy at work and accidentally cut a Load Bearing Vine before trimming the offshoots that were attached to it and long story short I need prayers and a steroid shot bc I’m about to have blisters on every inch of my arms 🥲

everyone who told me I was only feeling unwell from stress and just needed to get some sleep is getting thrown into the creek as work bc guess who fell asleep freezing and woke up at 3:30am with an actual full on fever 🥲

he has claimed this feeder as his own and will aggressively scoot toward any other hummingbird that dares to land on it. hummingbirds are notorious for not sharing in general, but I watched them all feed from a different feeder today at the same time rather than try to fight him for this one.

we’re doing a stuffed animal sleepover at the park in a week and I am SO EXCITED. we already have several parents who said their kids want to participate and it’s going to be so much fun for me to do

we’re doing okay btw. sad, but okay. I know it’s a cliche, but he really did look peaceful when I saw his body this morning. like I said, he made this decision, and he’s no longer suffering, and we’ll be okay, with our memories of him supporting us. gonna give his dogs lots of extra love 💕

my uncle has gone downhill extremely quickly, so I don’t think we have longer than 24-72 hours, if that. he’s been a constant in my life since I was born; he’s my godfather and was extremely proud of that. I’m really fucking sad, tho I’ll be glad he’s out of pain soon. I’m going to miss him a lot.

it’s not my first time going through this but losing loved ones really fucking hurts man. my soul aches. I need a hug so badly. this sucks.

my uncle/godfather made the decision today to end all treatment and enter hospice. it’s not likely to be long now. which is probably good, bc he’s ready to go. hard for us, but not unexpected. please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. don’t be worried if I’m not very active for awhile.

apooogies if I’m kind of short-tempered these days. between my uncle dying any day, work having me constantly on edge, and everything about my home life just being Shit in General (none of which is helped by PMS), I’m kind of all around out of patience currently.

some good news: I spoke to the staff earlier and they said my uncle’s dogs can visit him! you can tell how much they love him bc this was them after a different hospital stay 🥹

very successful day at work again! and the kittens and puppies were ADORABLE at the shelter this morning! AND my coworker invited me on a run after work (oh my GOD running is so much easier with a partner), so I got some good exercise too!! feeling pretty nice tonight 🥰

we had a photography presentation this morning and even tho he’d already seen all the photos and heard the presentation this woman’s husband excitedly got up to record her giving it 😭 we love a man who’s his wife’s biggest fan 🥹

agreed to go in extra early to the animal shelter before work this morning and now it’s a quarter to 6 and I’m reconsidering every life choice I made that led me here

today was a good day! work was super chill, the weather was considerably cooler, I got a ton of personal tasks done after work, personal life was calm today… I very much needed an uneventful, pleasant day like today 💕

pain/difficulty walking aside, today was nice. the weather was amazing so my coworker and I spent most of the day trimming along the trails, and we had a surprise birthday party for our boss with our CPO and site maintenance workers and one of the former workers 🥳 lots of good food & good ppl!
