We are home yay. I dunno what it was about this trip, but I felt like talking shit about Vancouver the whole time. Maritimer: you live in Vancouver? I've heard its beautiful. Me: meh, it's not that great. 😑

Visiting my mom & she had a Tintin comic The Red Sea Sharks) lying around (probably from my childhood) & this sequence where Captain Haddock is concerned about Tintin vs concerned with protecting his precious whiskey bottle is so funny.

Took a flight yesterday so (finally!!!) finished watching season 2 of The Pitt and my god what a showwwww 😭 Every character is so nuanced, perfect & MESSY in the most glorious way. The final shot of the season, Dr Robby & the baby, closing out with such gentleness, no notes forever & ever amen.

Haha oh yeah this was a thing that happened back in 2016! XD Naughty Dog needed set dressing for a tween’s bedroom & reached out to me. This was after I drew the Last of Us prequel comic.

Finishing a second playthrough of Uncharted 4 and how did I miss during my first run that Cassie Drake had The Nameless City by @faitherinhicks.bsky.social on her shelf???? How can these games keep making me like them more????

My beloved 12 year old Cintiq, bought in 2014, has finally given up the electronic ghost, so I guess today’s a free day. I feel like I should have some kind of ceremony for my fallen art warrior. I’ve drawn hundreds, nay, thousands of comic pages on it in the past decade+. Perhaps a burial at sea?

Finished reading Hell's Heart by Alexis Hall last night, took me a month to get through it because this book is the most bonkers work of Art I've ever read. It's a gay scifi genderflipped retelling of Moby Dick, where the whale is a monstrous space creature who sails the seas of Jupiter. It's WILD.
