"Federal law provides significant protections against military interference in elections." What a crock of shit. Laws are worthless if no one's going to enforce them. Especially if the military has already shown that "to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" don't mean jack.

I remain cautiously optimistic about Trek under the new regime. If South Park (excuse me, South America) is allowed to continually poke the right-wing bear (hell, the creators were paid 1.5 billion last year), who's to say that they will mess with Trek? Let's just wait and see, mkay? πŸ––

Pre-ordered Wand Company's Tricorder in April, with anticipated ship date of November. It just came today! Looks beautiful, but have to wait 4 hours for it to charge. They say this is their last build. Which is probably why they're going for 2x cost on eBay. I buy to play/display, not to re-sell. πŸ––

Been mostly in hotels since 1998. Decided that next year (my 20th in hotels---didn't work for about 8 years, including homelessness) I'm going to find something else, since I can't ever move up. May go back to the used bookstore in Milwaukee. Less $, but so what? < 8 years to Social Security πŸ‘
