Above 30 °C, C3 plants become heat-stressed: photosynthesis drops while respiration rises—so they make less sugar but use more. To compensate, they break down proteins (proteolysis), which produces ammonium that can accumulate and become harmful. A problem for plant and human user. #climatecrisis
