I thought I was going to bed early tonight. But I was dumb and checked my work email. Homecoming weeks are horrible at my school. They burn themselves out on the fun part and miss the school part. But at least I had a chance to talk to some really nice and caring parents at a flag football game.

I laugh at Fox for complaining about non-Spanish speakers watching the world cup on Telemundo. When I was younger, we could only watch games on Telemundo as there wasn't much English coverage. Then again I am old.

A student says he is stuck on a portion of my final that asks students to pick a character who is most like themselves or who they really liked. He said none. One of his teachers asks him to summarize a book he read and then says "Wait, that is like me!" Lit hits us differently and I love it.
