Lawyer, husband, father, sports fan. I was concerned about 2024 and beyond. Now I see people will get what they voted for and they will deserve it. I apologize in advance for the words that flow from my fingers.

I would think the Secretary of WAR would have read some ancient history and realized that many of the best warriors in history were gay men. There are whole legions of the best warriors in antiquity that were gay men and their lovers. Oh and most warriors who are worth remembering: radicals.

Hegseth: "It's worth saying again so the fake news understands it. We are no longer the woke department or the weak department. Simple translation of that -- no fatties no trannies no beardos no weirdos no wimps no radicals. Just warriors."

Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order. Glad one of us knew the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes!

Jesus Christ, we have reached the “human chain to save the rec center”trope from the 1980s now that Trump has gone full evil real estate developer. Pretty soon John Cusak is going to need to win a ski race to save the Kennedy Center!

Organizers are expecting about 1,000 attendees at a Kennedy Center vigil tonight to show support for the center’s artists, workers and the building itself. It will end with the formation of a human chain around the building.

I've probably watched "Clue" over a 1000 times in my life and it's still one of my favorite movies. For all of the talent amassed on that screen, the glue, the straw that stirred the drink, was #TimCurry as Wadsworth. The facial expressions, the line delivery, the physical comedy, it is all perfect.

It's probably perfect that Andrew Jackson remains on the $20 seeing is how his love of lobbyists helped to create the problems we have now where people by access with stacks and stacks of Jacksons and Franklins. #sigh

November is the real proving ground, but if the Democratic Party doesn’t sit up and take notice that Boomers and Gen X is no longer viable as candidates and that moderation is not popular, it is blind. People are mad and don’t want consensus, they want action and elbows out. No more Mr nice guy.

This is his brand. Until he became president and started stealing to the people through government, he only made money by slapping his name on things. The man hasn’t built anything, created anything, or made any deals that weren’t just for his NIL. He is Ozmandias and will end up the same way.

Trump Station? A letter from DOT Secretary Duffy to congressional leaders yesterday makes clear, he intends to re-name Penn Station. Read it first in the New York Daily News.

This is a fantastic article! It’s a reminder that we are bigger than our leaders, who was here 1st, or even who were the last to get to America. There is a place, and a joy, to be found. Sports can be divisive and painful, but it can also unify. The examples in this story show that clearly. Bravo!

I wrote about the World Cup, America, and the people I've met this month from across the world — Argentina, Cape Verde, Egypt, Iraq, and Iran — that make this tournament, and this country, what they are. www.theringer.com/2026/07/16/w...
