Utah Saints' What Can You Do For Me (1993) sampled the Bernard Sumner remix of Technotronic's Rockin' Over The Beat (1990) which sampled Dee-Lite's World Clique (1990) which in turn sampled Yellow Magic Orchestra's Hirake Kokoro-Jiseiki (1981). Four generations of sampling. Is there a longer chain?

There's one final chance to visit Saul Hay gallery in Castlefield. Their final exhibition is 10x10 featuring tonnes of 10cm x 10cm artworks. After Saturday, the gallery enters a new chapter, and the existing building will be jimmied off its foundations and floated down the Rochdale Canal. Probably.
