RACE PACE #F1 🟧NOR remains quickest even after correcting for his additional tyre set, yet 🟦VER was just 1 tenth behind! (And 🟩ANT 0.15s behind) 🟥Ferrari was just 4th best on the track they should have dominated (also due to traffic) 🟩Aston's updates really worked: 8th fastest team in the race!
Russell really can't catch a break: the anti-stall cost him 1.3s over 0-100 km/h! 💥 This race was yet another confirmation that Ferrari's start advantage has disappeared: all teams are now getting quick, consistent starts. Consider dropping the pre-start procedure? McL and Haas excelled! #F1

🟥Ferrari was quickest in FP2 and is the weekend's favourite! -4 Straight-mode zones: Less drag → less impact of power, less energy to be deployed -No energy shortage: 9MJ available in quali over a short track -Many medium-speed corners, especially in sector 2, make SF-26's great downforce shine!
Aston is bringing their first update this weekend; it MUST work, or they won't be admitted to races starting from around Singapore! 🚫 0.220% farther from pole EACH EVENT with a robust trend (R²: 0.6). The regression predicts them going above the 107% laptime threshold 6 quali sessions from now!
🟦Russell was overtaken by Piastri from 3 positions back due to a deployment issue: his speed got stuck at 308 km/h, and the car couldn't accelerate! 🪫 It only started accelerating again at the end of the straight 🟦 ANT had weak deployment too, but no "speed limiter"! 🟧 McL accelerated far more 🔋 #F1

RACE PACE Leclerc was THE KING of Silverstone 👑 0.22s/lap quicker than RUS despite using one fewer set of tyres, and 0.30s/lap faster than 9-time winner HAM on the same strategy ANT just 0.2s/lap behind LEC despite using a single set of Mediums for almost all his race! (Laps since issue removed)
A terrific race ended as a terrible farce ANT lost points today, yet got something possibly more precious in return: like HAM winning on 3 wheels and Schumacher winning stuck in 5th, he could show everyone that he has grit of a true champion #F1
The trend is confirmed: Ferrari’s huge race start advantage has progressively eroded with each passing race 🚨 In the Sprint, McLaren had the best start on average, followed by Mercedes and Alpine

I've looked at ALL laps from Austria #F1 Quali and found big differences in deployment/harvesting strategies! 👀 ⬛️ Mercedes: acceleration drops minimally with speed. They can do this because they harvest at FULL THROTTLE below 150 km/h - something no other team does! Read on Via JMP #YesJMPCan #adv

Ferrari's tyre wear on the Medium compound was terrible - TWICE that of the other teams 😳 (>1.5s/lap slower after just 13 laps) In Catalunya, their higher wear forced a 3-stop strategy, which proved best. Were forced into the same approach in Austria, where, however, a 2-stopper was actually better
Verstappen had the best race pace, by a tiny margin (0.07s). Great comeback after the crash! ANT almost as quick as RUS, McLaren 3rd. Ferrari’s extra stop didn’t pay off: HAM was barely quicker than PIA, who pitted twice. Racing Bulls best of the rest
