RACE PACE #F1 🟧NOR remains quickest even after correcting for his additional tyre set, yet 🟦VER was just 1 tenth behind! (And 🟩ANT 0.15s behind) 🟥Ferrari was just 4th best on the track they should have dominated (also due to traffic) 🟩Aston's updates really worked: 8th fastest team in the race!

Bild

Russell really can't catch a break: the anti-stall cost him 1.3s over 0-100 km/h! 💥 This race was yet another confirmation that Ferrari's start advantage has disappeared: all teams are now getting quick, consistent starts. Consider dropping the pre-start procedure? McL and Haas excelled! #F1

Bild

🟥Ferrari was quickest in FP2 and is the weekend's favourite! -4 Straight-mode zones: Less drag → less impact of power, less energy to be deployed -No energy shortage: 9MJ available in quali over a short track -Many medium-speed corners, especially in sector 2, make SF-26's great downforce shine!

Bild

Aston is bringing their first update this weekend; it MUST work, or they won't be admitted to races starting from around Singapore! 🚫 0.220% farther from pole EACH EVENT with a robust trend (R²: 0.6). The regression predicts them going above the 107% laptime threshold 6 quali sessions from now!

Bild

🟦Russell was overtaken by Piastri from 3 positions back due to a deployment issue: his speed got stuck at 308 km/h, and the car couldn't accelerate! 🪫 It only started accelerating again at the end of the straight 🟦 ANT had weak deployment too, but no "speed limiter"! 🟧 McL accelerated far more 🔋 #F1

Bild

-Another terrific performance by ANT -The VSC was needed, but its timing and duration disproportionately helped Ferrari -Great drive again by LEC. Based on crash dynamics (not the final outcome), however, he deserved the penalty more than HAM -The WCC might be more open than the WDC YOUR take? 👀

Mercedes lost the least performance, yet was still over 3s/lap slower than last year Before penalties: Mercedes P6 ('25) → P1 ('26) RBR P4 → P2 McLaren P1 → P3 Ferrari P3 → P5 Aston closer to the '25 F2 pole than to their own '25 quali: 7.149s ahead of F2, but 7.617s off their best from last year!

Bild

Look at this telemetry: can you believe that it's the SAME track?!? 🤯 (⬜️'25 vs 🟩'26) Spa's long full-throttle sections starve the '26 cars of energy, making them massively slower before most braking points 🪫 I've never seen such a big year-on-year difference in any racing series... #F1

Bild

Contrary to #F1 ADUO, over a Silverstone quali lap, RBR didn't appear to have the highest power — Mercedes did!💡 (Ferrari still way back despite the PU update) RBR's power drops off sharply above 290 km/h (maximum ERS power must decrease linearly with speed): Mercedes may have a better ERS strat

Bild

Hamilton hit 350 km/h, by far (+6 km/h) the highest top speed in the race! 🚀 Contributing factors: -First race with the upgraded ICE at sea level ✅ (the Austrian altitude hurt the small turbo) -First race with the low-drag diffuser ✅

Bild

RACE PACE Leclerc was THE KING of Silverstone 👑 0.22s/lap quicker than RUS despite using one fewer set of tyres, and 0.30s/lap faster than 9-time winner HAM on the same strategy ANT just 0.2s/lap behind LEC despite using a single set of Mediums for almost all his race! (Laps since issue removed)

Bild

The research group I did my PhD with is developing AIGOR, a "digital guardian angel" for motorcyclists! 🏍️👼 It analyses your riding data and, after the ride, tells you where you took the most risk, even if you never noticed it at the time Link in the first comment! 👇

Bild

Ferrari's tyre wear on the Medium compound was terrible - TWICE that of the other teams 😳 (>1.5s/lap slower after just 13 laps) In Catalunya, their higher wear forced a 3-stop strategy, which proved best. Were forced into the same approach in Austria, where, however, a 2-stopper was actually better

Bild

Verstappen had the best race pace, by a tiny margin (0.07s). Great comeback after the crash! ANT almost as quick as RUS, McLaren 3rd. Ferrari’s extra stop didn’t pay off: HAM was barely quicker than PIA, who pitted twice. Racing Bulls best of the rest

Bild

FP2 ANALYSIS #AustrianGP #F1 Mercedes are the favourites: unmatched top speed among the top teams. 🟧McL/🟥Ferrari losing significantly on straights. McL has excellent early-straight acceleration, while Ferrari is losing in all sectors (New PU in FP3?) 🟦RBR: Excellent traction 🟨RBs: Best top speed

Bild

Bortoleto hit 360 km/h - a new record for this generation of cars! 🚀 Audi has less drag than any other team, consistently posting the best race top speeds despite a sub-par ICE. Fix that, and they’ll be flying on the straights! We might see 370 km/h in Monza/Las Vegas/Mexico… #F1

Bild

The VSC timing may have gifted HAM the lead, but it was HIS PACE that put him there! 🏆 📊 RACE PACE, PIT-EQUATED (1 extra pit = 22s lost): 1) 🟥Ferrari / HAM 2) 🟩Mercedes / ANT (first time they're not P1) 3) 🟧McL / NOR (~ same pace as ANT!) 4) 🟦RBR / VER #F1
