get ready for another artfight. didnt bother making a card but this is my first victim. this year's gimmick for myself is either turning people orange (aka their outfits and if im allowed to) and making them hold a fish or become a fish

Tawokan redesign. Old one was extremely hard to read and felt a little off. So now more of it makes sense. Colours changed a bit to reflect her personality more and a pet fish i was referencing

small practice trying to mimic art styles since i havent done it in ages. The drawing on the left was trying to understand the line weight then i gave up and balled in the right one. page 81 in ditf. last time ive done something like this was trying to replicate WoF book covers onto paper.

My art style is gonna have a mild change. Got into arknights recently and i love the art raaaaaaaa. Albeit rendering i still do random shit and ball praying it looks good

Localization adds so much to stories that it helps emphasize characters. Exhibit A. Chainsaw man english dub. I love both jp and eng dubs but the eng va's screaming nuts or nothing or just in general adding their own bits are really funny. Bonus: panty and stocking. I dont need to explain why.

I do find it somewhat fascinating that the average person's opinion of "what a translation should be" has shifted in a pretty short period of time from "it's fine for the translators to make changes if it helps the audience better engage with the work" to "it should be literal 100% of the time"

If i lock in enough i can render well. Same with line art.
