Great presentation by @feadeh.bsky.social today that relates to argument on framing issues. 🧵 Fade Eadeh noted that standard finding and belief is that a focus on threats leads people to vote for more conservative people. But he noted, wisely, that too much research focused on one threat only! 1/
This story is framed in a way that misleads on the *actual* crisis of free speech, and the hypocritical double standard that welcoming conservative speech but suppressing the left. NYU bans criticism of Israel and silences student speech, while exempting Haidt from the same “standards.”

How do folks deal with skew from programs like LIWC? I'm getting skews in the range of 3 to 6 and I don't think a log transformation makes sense, but would love to hear what you do!
