Close up: Buccellati's and Abbacchio's coats are draped over the fence.

B: Spoilsport.

Bruno and Leone face each other in a showdown. Abba is in his coat but Bruno has only a shirt on (which counts as an underwear in this era. :D)

Bruno kicks high in Leone's face, but Leone blocks smugly and makes a grab for his ankle.

While Leone drops Bruno swiftly on the ground, he compliments him, smirking: Your form is getting better.
But your moves are too rigid.

Bruno (wipes his face, angry): Again!!
Leone: We agreed this was the last round.
Bruno: I haven't tapped out, yet.

Leone: Ugh, fine! But I won't go easy on you.
Bruno: Didn't ask you to.

Speed lines make the scene more dramatic. Bruno looks especially determined. He tries the same kick as before.
Leone (smirk): You're getting sloppier.
But then Bruno grabs the arm that's meant to send him on the ground.
Leone's face on the last panel says "oh shit!"

They both froze in mid motion, wide eyed. Suddenly very aware of their incriminating position, Leone leaning over Bruno, Bruno's legs framing his hips.

Bruno: I–

Suddenly Leone gets yanked back by his ponytail – Macaron, Bruno's beloved Andalusian mare is behind his back, casually chomped down on it.

Narancia (riding Macaron): Yo. Macaron and the ladies need the paddock.

Leone is flushed, possibly both from the scare and his previous incriminating situation with Bruno.

Leone (shouting): Narancia! Don't sneak up on people!

Narancia gets off Macaron's back. He's completely unfazed.
Nara: Are you deaf, or what? I brought the whole herd.

We see four other horses in the background. At this moment Macaron decided to return for another bite on Leone's pony tale. Bruno is fighting a chuckle.

Leone gets up, flustered and angry, he dusts his trousers.
Leone: If you'll excuse me.

Bruno (turns towards Macaron who licks his face): Good morning, Princess. Slept well?

Bruno cuddles close to Macaron's muzzle, hugging her. Flush paints his cheeks as he risks a glance to the departing Leone.

This panel is from Leone's point of view, Bruno's hair is fanned out on the ground, his forehead is showing, making him look younger.
Bruno (smiles, eyes half closed eyes, murmurs): Don’t you want to kiss me?

Leone is leaning close in flustered reverence. Bruno's smug, seductive expression remains the same.

Then a sudden THUD, and Leone finds himself on the ground, fell out of his bed.

Of course this was a dream. He's panting, worked up and frustrated.

Leone stands there bandaged, with a faint smile. Narancia plastered himself to his side, like he never wants to let go. Leone has an easy arm around him.

Mista and Fugo sit at the table, the Pistol rats are scattered, munching. Fugo looks tense like ha wants to get up but unsure what next.
Mista grins and raises a glass: Buon compleanno, idiota! <3

Leone wearily limps down the kitchen.

"Welcome back to the living," Naracia shrieks, hurling himself at him, Leone hisses in pain.

"Careful, idiot! Buccellati said he has bruised ribs," Fugo reprimands and Leone feels guilty for the obvious worry painting his face.

"You look terrible!" Mista grins.

"Fuck you, too."

"Happy birthday!" Mista quips and…

Oh...

Leone is usually painfully aware of this cursed date.

In his pursue to get punched into oblivion for what he can't have, he's forgotten what he does have: a steady wage, a safe home, a kind employer and…faithful comrades.

Tomoko: I have not. Not yet. Yes, the bruised ribs and the broken arm will heal, and I think his eye is not permanently damaged either.

Bruno looks shocked.

Tomoko continues: But he lost a significant amount of blood. The concussion could also cause long term problems. And the side effects from the hit on his sternum could still stop his heart!

Cut to Tomoko. She seems like she's seething but holds back: While it vexes me as his doctor, I will refrain from expressing my opinion: people are free to do as they wish.
But he'll have to make a choice between following down this path or remain your vassal.
And I do hope, if nothing else, he has at least a shred of respect for you and your efforts to keep him well!
