Modern remake of Back to the Future where Marty travels back to the olden days of 1996, when people were still optimistic about this whole “Internet” thing

It's always a bit funny to me that this one brand of fruit popsicles advertises itself as being "plant-based." It is not a meat popsicle.
Right now one of my trees is absolutely covered by little tiny mini-birds, and a crow is erched on a power line and screaming at them.
I always find it funny when companies advertise themselves as having "a combined 50 years of experience" as if experience stacks up that way. Like, any given McDonald's shift will have at least 50 years combined experience in the culinary arts.
Wellp, this is foreboding. Guess I'm staying inside for the next week. Also, I hope my friends in Spokane are keeping safe. :/
I've been told that my band name "Sockpuppet" has very bad SEO and that apparently is to blame for people not finding my music, as if people would normally be searching for my music by band name without having heard about me to begin with. This feels like a weird take to me.
wild seeing people posting to a thread about theoretical meth cooking on the Breaking Bad subreddit in such a way that sounds like they *want* to be on a DEA watchlist
It is both hilarious and concerning when Tyler, an 18-pound Soft Round Boy, gets the zoomies.
The random plaintext summary on spam messages gets pretty weird sometimes. (This was yet another “I hacked your computer, ooo scary, send me bitcoin” scam message.)
What does it say about me that I think the Eraserhead baby is actually super cute?

Re: I joined the IndieWeb, here’s what I learned
In reply to: Re: I joined the IndieWeb, here’s what I learned One thing I’d point out is that IndieAuth does a lot more than just enabling Micropub and its ilk; for example, some folks support IndieAuth as a simple identity provider, which then provides things like access to private or protected entries (for example this one).

Fursona idea: human who was a vegan but got TFed into an obligate carnivore, so now they eat food that is meat-based but pretends to be plants
Just spent 16 minutes of my finite life watching a woodturning video where they were "woodturning" wine bottles and making something without explaining what it was, and I expected the reveal at the end would be either very silly or very annoying, and to my surprise, it was both.
It is so funny to me that so many YouTubers will say profanities and problematic phrases out loud, but then will put "algospeak" and other censoring into their burned-in image-based captions. Like, there is absolutely ZERO evidence that YouTube does frame-by-frame OCR or any sort of bulk visual […]

so, Hank Green has admitted to using ChatGPT for doing research and writing notes, and I also had a bit of suspicion that the various apps "he" "developed" are also written by AI, and just now I decided to actually look at the website for his big one (Focus Friend), and I can't help but notice […]

Tonight's silly activity: connecting to @zorinlynx's old MUCK while hanging out in VRChat with Zorin and a couple of other furries who also connected to the MUCK while we chat with each other simultaneously on the MUCK and in VRChat
I hate always being either too tired or in too much pain to do anything that I want to do or sometimes, like today, both
a bit of recurring "how to grow your audience" advice I keep seeing is that the age of the album is over and that all music should be released as singles instead. What do y'all think? I definitely prefer albums as a listener, and also as a unit of musical storytelling.
Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice what could be just as easily explained by stupidity Harlon's Razor: Never assume that the slightest similarity between two stories is anything other than massive overt plagiarism
For months I’ve had an incredibly persistent accounts receivable scammer trying to convince my “accounting department” that I owe thousands of dollars to some sort of corporate training seminar. I wonder how much money they get this way, because I’m sure that they occasionally hit a target that […]

Ok I've finally bit the bullet and merged the Chorus draft spec into the main #Canimus branch, and also renamed the repo accordingly. https://github.com/PlaidWeb/Chorus is the new source of truth for the interop spec! Thanks to everyone who gave detailed feedback, especially @txels […]
