I've been too burned out to do rainbow hair and it's looked like shit for months, but I knew it was a real hair emergency when my mother complimented it during Pride Month. I had to do *something* so I'm back to repping my bi flag instead

I had an ENT appointment to discuss septoplasty scheduled in February and it has now been rescheduled THREE TIMES and pushed to the end of August thanks to issues on both my end and theirs. One more reschedule and I'm assuming this is the universe telling me breathing is overrated.

I've finally done this enough that I can make my sourdough pretty, not just tasty. A dramatic improvement from my first loaf, that looked like it suffered a minor explosion at some point in the cooking process 😂

A sourdough boule with a pretty decent looking wheat pattern scored into it.

We knew we were tempting fate when we added a third cat to our two who don't give a shit about people food, but we did not expect the baby to be an absolute fiend for COCONUT. Catra, you are not a middle aged mom who splurged on the drinks package on a girls cruise, you are a CAT.

A guy with his face scribbled out. A young dilute calico is climbing his lap, mouth wide open to chomp a shred of coconut the guy is offering her.

It's amazing how much children love to stand next to the monkey bars when their heads are at the perfect kicking height. Not an ounce of self preservation instinct in these tiny people 🤦

I'm growing garlic this year and today I got to snip my first scapes! I made a compound butter with them, for the loaf of sourdough that's going into the oven in the morning. I forgot how much my soul needs both garden season and to create things with my hands.
