Wrapped up advocacy meetings in Brussels ahead of the Taliban's visit. As a woman from Afghanistan, it is deeply frustrating to see EU countries moving toward migration deals with the Taliban while Afghans continue to face repression. Forced returns must not happen.

Our recommendations to EU member states are clear: 1- Uphold your international obligations including the principle of non-refoulement. 2- Refrain from acts that would generate prestige for the Taliban including inviting them to the EU. Your words should match your actions!
