Panzer Dragoon Orta (replay) ✅ Orta is the culmination of this rail-shooter series, and remains a quintessential game in the genre. Smilebit delivered a very well-rounded experience in every aspect: gameplay, art direction, music, story & replay value all brilliantly come together. A must-play!

Amazing Island ✅ A forgotten Gamecube exclusive imagined by Yuzo Koshiro! It's a simple and short but actually really fun game. Basically a party-game, with a hub and monster creation to give it a small sense of "adventure". Worth it if you're nostalgic of the 128-bit era!
This week-end, we're playing the one and only My Sims Racing for the Nintendo Wii.
I've completed Sonic Lost World... And I kinda liked it! I honestly expected worse for this one. In the end, despite its flaws and even though it feels like a Nintendo game from Temu, I had some fun with it.
I guess this is what I plan to buy for the rest of the year for now... Halo and Gears are lower priorities compared to the others though, it'll depend what's happening when they release.
My most anticipated games from this whole week of announcements (no remasters)! Ill Spyro: A Realm Beyond Final Fantasy Resonance Bancho the Chef When Sirens Fall Silent HotWheels: Infinite Rush Rhythm Paradise Groove Vivarium Xenoblade Genesis Control Resonant Metro 2039
Final Fantasy Resonance is directed by Harvestella's director & writer Hiroto Furuya! You may know that I consider Harvestella as one of my favorite games in recent years, so I'm even more hyped now!
Ikaruga ✅️ A work of art that I was never able to complete until now. It's a lot of memorization. The gameplay is relatively simple but level-design & polarity system make Ikaruga extremely intense, blending shmup and puzzle elements. Not my favorite, but Iuchi is a genius.
It's the 66th anniversary of Sega today! 🎂 Here's some of my favorite games from them: - Panzer Dragoon series - Phantasy Star IV - Magic Knight Rayearth - Project Rub/The Rub Rabbits! - Shining Force III - Shenmue II - Binary Domain - Ristar
Another shoot 'em up has been released today in the Console Archives series: Geki-Oh ShienRyu (originally an arcade game ported to Saturn/PS1)
Night Striker Gear ✅ Directed by the shoot 'em up GOAT, Hiroshi Iuchi, Night Striker Gear feels like a perfect meeting between the good old Taito and Treasure. It’s a great ride with fun gameplay, charming visuals and a banger soundtrack!
New release day! Yoshi hasn't always been very lucky with the quality of his own games, but I'm hopeful this one will be interesting.
It all began with a stone, or so the legend says...~ Final Fantasy XI was first released 24 years ago today! Who else has it as their favorite FF? 😇
Got to the final battle of Shining Force III today. Lost because I had only a few characters still alive when the actual final boss showed up, but now I can see what to do. Next time should be the one.
Received this very cool thing today. Too bad there isn't a PAL version, but oh well, that'll do.
I wanted a shorter RPG to play on the side and balance out with Star Ocean 3, so I've got the Final Fantasy Legend Collection. Playing the first SaGa, going in blind. Made a team with 1 human, 2 mutants, 1 monster. I appreciate the freedom of builds and exploration already.
Metal Slug 4 ✅️ Did a couple of runs of what I believe is usually the least liked game in the series. I thought it's still pretty good (can hardly go wrong with Metal Slug's classic gameplay and graphics), but not standing out in the series. It feels a bit uninspired.
Love good cartmods allowing me to play some of those games translated on actual hardware
Square Enix has just launched a survey about the Star Ocean series for japanese fans. This year will mark the 30th Anniversary of the series. I believe that a game (whether it's a remaster/remake or Star Ocean 7) releasing by next year is possible.
Kirby: Planet Robobot was released 10 years ago! One of the best Kirby to this day. It has a fun mecha gimmick, almost 30 copy abilities, cheerful visuals with a great use of the 3D, and as usual an excellent soundtrack and epic final boss!
Kirby Dream Land, the first entry in the series, was released 34 years ago! That was also the first game directed by Masahiro Sakurai and was a big success, selling over 5M copies on Game Boy.
Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure ✅️ Fun little game on the GBA, nice graphics with good music faithful to the anime. The beat 'em up levels are fun, the 1vs1 fights are basic and repetitive tho. The game is very short, the story goes super fast through the events.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII ✅ For a game developed in such a short span of time, Lightning Returns was truly lightning in a bottle. In some aspects of its gameplay, it even reaches the series’ highs. LR is not just my favorite of the trilogy, but a top 10 Final Fantasy for me!
Not gonna start a new game yet, just wanted to quickly see again how beautiful Sword of Mana is on the Game Boy Advance! Brownie Brown quality 😍
